Liberty Mutual Reinsurance (LM Re), part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, has announced the appointment of Manja Kollmann to the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO). Kollman reports to Sue Figueredo Cook, COO, Global Risk Solutions (GRS), Liberty Mutual, and Dieter Winkel, President, LM Re. Sitting on both the GRS and LM Re executive teams, Kollmann will be based in London.
Kollmann will be a key influencer as LM Re maintains its ongoing commitment to providing tailored, client-focused reinsurance solutions across key markets. Her appointment is a critical step in the company’s broader strategy to enhance its global capabilities and deliver superior value to its clients.

Kollmann brings more than 15 years of experience in the (re)insurance sectors, with a track record of driving business transformation and operational efficiency. Most recently, she served as Director, Head of IT Transformation at Generali Germany AG. Kollmann will work closely with Kirk Maddern, LM Re’s interim COO, to ensure a seamless transition prior to his retirement at the end of the year.
